1Information We Collect

When you use WalletIX (via our web application or Android mobile app), we collect information to provide seamless expense tracking, multi-currency trip planning, and group bill splits:

  • Account Data: Your name, email address, profile preferences, and currency settings created during account registration.
  • Financial & Expense Entries: User-logged expenses, income entries, categories, receipt attachments, trip itineraries, and split group balances.
  • Device & Usage Information: Device model, app version, IP address, and anonymized telemetry containing diagnostic reports and app stability events.

2Google Account Sign-In

WalletIX offers the option to create an account and sign in using Google Sign-In. When you choose this option, we request the following basic profile information from your Google Account via Google's OAuth service:

  • Your name, used to personalize your WalletIX profile.
  • Your email address, used to create, authenticate, and secure your account.
  • Your Google profile picture (if available), used as your default WalletIX avatar.

This information is used solely to create and authenticate your WalletIX account and is handled with the same encryption and privacy standards described elsewhere in this policy. We do not request, access, or store any other data from your Google Account (such as Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or Contacts), and we do not share information received from Google Sign-In with any third party for advertising purposes. You can revoke WalletIX's access to your Google Account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

WalletIX's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3How We Use Your Data

We use your information exclusively to power WalletIX features:

  • Calculate daily spending totals, budget alerts, and real-time category breakdowns.
  • Compute accurate multi-currency conversions for travel trip budgets.
  • Calculate minimal debt settlements among members in split groups.
  • Synchronize offline expense drafts when reconnecting to internet.
  • Provide security verification and send critical account notifications.

4Data Storage & Encryption Standards

All data transmitted between your device and WalletIX servers is secured using SSL/TLS encryption. Sensitive financial entries are stored using AES-256 bit encryption. Offline mode stores encrypted local snapshots on your device using secure storage primitives.

We may utilize third-party bug tracking, error reporting, and stability analytics services to collect anonymized crash data, device metrics, and diagnostic logs. This helps us troubleshoot platform issues and maintain application reliability. These services process data in an aggregated form and do not store or access your budget details or transaction statements.

5Your Privacy Rights & Data Deletion

You retain complete ownership of your data under applicable global privacy laws (including GDPR and CCPA):

  • Export Data: Download all your expenses, trips, and splits in CSV format at any time from Settings.
  • Account Deletion: Permanently delete your WalletIX account and wipe all stored cloud records directly from the app.
